Final Fantasy: Aerith Vs Yuna

Jeremy here with another Fabled Fight! Today we have two powerful brunette mages from the Final Fantasy series, Aerith (sometimes called 'Aeris') and Yuna. Time for our brief analysis of each fighter and then the verdict! Oh, and spoilers ahead for Final Fantasy 7 & 10.

 Aerith (Final Fantasy 7):
--- Half-human, half-Cetra
--- Wields powerful magic and healing fueled by orbs called Materia
--- Ultimate move, Great Gospel, actually isn't an attack; rather, it fully heals Aerith and renders her temporarily invincible
--- Once dated a nice guy, but when he died, she got with his best friend. That's harsh, Aerith.
--- Carries a metal rod to strike foes
--- Killed while trying to protect the planet, but visions of her depict her as having found peace in the afterlife

 Yuna (Final Fantasy 10):
--- Half-human, half Al-Bhed
--- Wields powerful magic and healing
--- Has heterochromia, two different colored eyes
--- Capable of breathing underwater for several minutes
--- Summons powerful beasts called "Aeons" to help fight. Take a look at the strongest of them, Anima
--- Once dated a nice guy, but then he literally vanished into thin air. That's rough, Yuna.
--- Carries a metal rod to strike foes

Verdict:
Yuna wins. Both are competent mages, but Yuna's ability to call Aeons gives her the edge. Aerith's Great Gospel can't make her invincible long enough to strike down her opponent's mighty summons. And have you played as Yuna in the fighting game Dissidia 012? She kicks major butt with her long ranged formidable attacks.. With her powerful magic and Aeons, Yuna definitely deserves today's win. Thanks for reading!

My final thoughts: If you're into role-playing games, check out the Final Fantasy series! They re-released  FF 10 on the PlayStation 3 with updated graphics; give it a chance if you're interested.

Today in the life of a Jeremy: Just a simple day of writing articles and exercising. I had fun re-visiting the Final Fantasy series; we'll likely see more of it in upcoming posts.
