Rock Lee
---Ninja
---Excels with "Taijutsu"; (basically, martial arts.) Rock Lee exhibits incredible speed and power, but lacks talent with "Ninjutsu" (essentially, energy attacks)
---Learned forbidden techniques, such as unlocking the "Eight Gates", which further boosts Lee's speed and power. However, if used to a certain extent, this can damage Lee's body.
---Bowl Cut
---Often utilizes the Drunken Fist style of martial arts
Krillin
--- Martial artist
--- In Dragon Ball Z, compared to other, non-human characters, Krillin seems rather weak. However, he's a sure contender for strongest human in the series.
---Can fly
---Lacks a nose
---Uses "ki" to form energy attacks including the Kamehameha and Destructo Disk techniques.
---Also capable of using Solar Flare, a move that temporarily blinds an opponent.
---Often relies on cunning, rather that power, to win
Verdict:
Krillin wins. Both fighters demonstrate impressive martial arts, but I find Krillin's base power and speed to be superior. Additionally, unlike Lee, he can fly and strike with ranged attacks. Lee's unlocking of the Eight Gates provides his sole advantage, but Krillin could counter by simply flying out of harm's way, until Lee's boost ended. Thanks for reading!
My final thoughts: I really admire both of these fighters. Lee trains harder than any of his peers to compensate for his lack of ninjutsu. And Krillin will join his friends in battle, even if he knows he's badly outmatched. Neither is the strongest fighter in their respective series, but both will battle until the end.
Today in the life of a Jeremy: Pondering careers. Author? Accountant? Soldier? Lemonade stand host? Maybe not that one.
